The Income Approach is a way of determining the value of a practice or practice ownership interest using one or more methods that converts anticipated economic benefits into a present dollar amount.

One method under this approach is the capitalization of earnings method. We determine a representative single period economic benefit and convert it to value through division of a capitalization rate.
